RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION
The Disability Monitor Initiative
(DMI) was launched in 2004 in order to gather and disseminate
information on key disability issues in the region as well
as best practices carried out by local actors including
DPOs, service providers, local and national authorities
underpinning the move towards full participation and equal
opportunities in the region..
The objective of the DMI is to be an advocacy tool to monitor
and facilitate the sharing of knowledge on the ways these
stakeholders develop and support reforms that promote and
enable inclusion and equality of people with disabilities.
The DMI produces different types of publications, annual
reports, working papers and thematic journals, all available
in English and in local languages on its website: www.disabilitymonitor-see.org
