The 8th Call for Proposals
Important
information: This
Call for Proposals is only opened to organizations
of persons with disabilities that participated to
the Share-SEE training program “Advocacy for
Mainstreaming disability into local policy”
and that completed assignments A and B.
Only applicants fulfilling this precondition will
be considered. |
OBJECTIVE:
The Call for Proposals 8, SHARE-SEE aims at supporting
DPOs’ local advocacy initiatives for mainstreaming
disability into local policy-making with the explicit goal
to obtain a political commitment for drafting community
disability action plans.
In order to reach this objective, the selected projects
are carrying out local advocacy initiatives that should
lead to:
1) The formation of an official working group consisting
of representatives of authorities, politicians, DPOs and
other relevant stakeholders, such as the private sector,
at the municipal level.
2) A clear political mandate given to the working group
with defined resources (time, financial, material and human)
to draft a local disability action plan.
PROCESS OF APPLICATION

1. Request for consultancy sessions. The applicants
will have the opportunity to receive consultancy session
for the development of the project proposal. For this purpose,
it is compulsory to submit the request form until the 14th
of December 2007 and to send it to cfp8@share-see.org
2. Deadline for submitting applications on the 1st
of February 2008, 17h00 to
cfp8@share-see.org
The application forms must be filled in using the Share-SEE
application form and the Share-SEE budget form available
on this website either in local language or in English
3. The selected project will be announced on the
website on the 3rd of March 2008
4. Organization of the Project Management Training and
signing of financial agreements from the 10th
to 28th of March 2008.
