Share-See ambitions are that living conditions are improved and Rights of people with disability fulfilled by the achievement of equal opportunities and full participation. In that perspective, the SHARE SEE project purpose is to help Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) to develop sustainable capacities, at the local, national and regional levels in order to be able to participate and influence social policy reforms and monitor its implementation.

Within stated program aim, Share-See proposes a regional grant to co-finance innovative initiatives from Disabled People Organizations with strong emphasize on social model and cross disability approach.

Priority will be given to projects proposals advocating for legislation and policy change in disability issue. The proposals should focus on priorities defined through participative processes at national Unified Voice Conferences targeting changes in following sectors:

  • Improving access to education and employment of people with disability
  • Acknowledgement of rights of people with disability
  • Raising awareness of the community about disability issues
  • Improving access to existing and alternative services
  • Improving accessibility to the physical environment and information technology.

The SHARE SEE program encourages innovative initiatives that bring the elements of cross border cooperation, gender sensitiveness and partnerships between different DPOs, other organizations, institutions and local authorities.

The Call for Proposals proposes two kinds of grants both focused on the advocacy initiatives:

•  Basic grant of up to 2000 EUR for research projects and problem solving community initiatives
•  Development grant of up to 5000 EUR for advocacy initiatives with wider national impact .

The applicant should be a Disabled People Organisation (DPO)

The applicant should be from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Deadline :

The deadline for receipt of applications is 05 June, 2005.

Applications received after the application deadline will not be considered.
The applicant should provide the proposal in electronic form by e-mail to the following address: cfp5@share-see.org .
