Youth with special needs and gender:
Educational workshops for youth with special needs
organized by “Leptir” and concerning Gender
and Gender equality Law introduced its participants
to the meaning of words: gender, gender equality,
gender integration as well as contents of Gender equality
law. Two, 2-day workshops took place within this project
in the municipality of Sekovici (15 participants)
and in Srebrenica (17). This was an excellent opportunity
for exchange of views, experience and further networking
among PWDs in this area. The topics discussed in those
2 workshops were very well received but participants
doubt that the principles of equality can become real
in their communities any time soon and that much more
work is needed in order to make a permanent and lasting
